Carolina Piedmont Division members are dedicated to furthering the hobby of model railroading through public displays, community involvement and educational activities. The Division models all scales and railroads, and welcomes new members, especially newcomers to the hobby. There is always plenty to do and learn, so come and join the fun. Check below on this page for information on the next Division meeting. The Carolina Piedmont Division is classified as a public foundation under Section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, and is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. Donors may fully deduct contributions to the Carolina Piedmont Division as provided in Section 170 of the IRS Code. A copy of our tax exempt status may be obtained by contacting Grif Bond, Division Superintendent.
The Carolina Piedmont Division is part of the National Model Railroad Association's Mid-Eastern Region (MER). The MER includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Next Division Meeting Division meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month (except November & December when they are the second Tuesday). The next meeting is:
Tuesday, February 26nd at 7:00pm St. Michael Archangel Centre & Gallery 830 High House Road Cary, North Carolina (Click here for Directions) There will be a Board of Directors meeting at 6:30pm.		Program Flat car & gondola loads - Grif Bond, Kim Parker & John Janosko Contest Cars with Loads (Bring another car and load makings for the program)
Division Members are required to wear their name badges at all Division meetings.

Membership
Anyone who is a member of the National Model Railroad Association and who lives in the geographic area (shown below) served by the Carolina Piedmont Division is automatically a member of both the Mid-Eastern Region and the Division. To join the National Model Railroad Association go to their web site at http://www.nmra.org/nmrastore/index.html. The various classes of Membership are described and you can apply online. If you are not sure about joining the NMRA you can also sign up for a 6-month Rail Pass trial membership at http://www.nmra.org/membership/railpass.html.
