CP #1400-1401 were set aside for SOO SW1500's #1400-1401, but the renumbering never happened. Instead, #1400-1401 were assigned to Royal Canadian Pacific FP7A/FP9A units instead. #1402-1433 were set aside for SOO MP15AC's #1532-1563, but so far only 9 units have been renumbered, and it is highly unlikely any more will be done in the future. CP #1446-1447 were renumbered from ex-Kennecott Copper #120-121. These units had a widened cab on the engineers side, for better visiblity in Kennecott's copper mines. The extended cabs were returned to a standard configuration when renumbered to CP #1446-1447. RTEX #229 was to become CP #1448 but never operated and was retired in 12/2005.
