CP 7000-7059 on order from Progress Rail, Mayfield, KY., to be delivered during 2019. These units will be rebuilt from SD90MAC units out of the former 9100 series (58 units in total, CP #9129, 9133 and 9138 are already scrapped). Two extra units were bought by CP from Union Pacific in 2019 to complete this number series. These units are UP #3551 & UP #3567.

Announced on September 16, 2019 by CP : #7010-7014 will be delivered in a heritage scheme of the CP Maroon & Grey "Script" paint scheme, while #7015-7019 will be outshopped in the CP Maroon & Grey "Block" paint scheme.

The designated unit CP #7024 will be renumbered to #6644 with a special livery to commemorate D-day on June 6, 1944. The unit will be unveiled on Remembrance Day, November 11, 2019.

CP #7020 painted in NATO green, inspired by modern fighting vehicles. CP #7021 painted in "Desert Sand" inspired by vehicles used in recent conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. CP #7022 is painted in Royal Canadian Navy "Shipside Grey" with a Oxide red undercarriage. CP #7023 is honouring the Royal Canadian Air Force, painted in "Light Ghost Grey / Medium Grey used of CF-18 aircrafts.
