The CP 8600 series consisted of a single MLW RS10s (#8600), CLC-built H16-44 units, with the 12 cylinder 2-stroke 'opposed piston' engine (#8601-8610), and all the remaining units of this group are GMD-built GP9s (#8611-8699).
