West Lewisburg (west end staging representing Charleston, WV)

Photo on the left shows the West Yard on the lower level. The town of Paint Bank, VA, at the top of the looping grade over the Alleghenies, is on the upper level above the West Yard.  Photo on the right shows an office car special rolling across the duckunder into Lewisburg, WV, having just departed the West Yard staging. Another duckunder above this area carries the tracks from Paint Bank to McFalls, VA (above Lewisburg) and the Roanoke/Salem staging yards (behind McFalls on the other side of a ridge).
