These photos of Bob Comstock's S gauge model railroad were taken at the CT S Gaugers February, 2008 meeting at Bob's home in Madison, CT.

Bob scratchbuilds a lot of his structures. Many are based upon actual buildings in Clinton, Connecticut. He starts by taking some dimensions or researching information from historical records. With those dimensions in hand Bob creates a cardboard mock-up like the one below: Once the mock-up is made Bob uses basswood to construct the model. He glues vinyl brick adhesive to the basswood to finish off the basic structure.
