New HO layout design

 

The plan featured here is the newest project that the CV&WS is undertaking.  The current HO layout was dismantled at the conclusion of the Christmas 2000 Open House.  Construction began in early January.  The new HO display will feature two-tier construction using the most current building techniques and materials.  The layout will be operated with DCC.  Between the decks, will reside an approximate 980 foot mainline.  The display will feature single track with passing sidings, and have scenery typical of Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.  We had mainline trackage operational by the summer of 2001 and are currently filling in the industrial areas.  We have also made some considerable progress on the scenery.  Please check out the Photo Gallery for pictures of our progress.
