Washington Wigwags St. John
Vancouver

St. John
The following info provided by Camron Settlemier (from 2000):
"The wig-wag at St. John is on borrowed time. I do not know when it
operated last. It is located on the Endicott-St John road if I remember
correctly. (If you can find St. John, I bet you can find the wigwag....)

These short Magnetic Signal Company relay boxes are pretty rare!

Larry Granfield stumbled across this interesting set of old highway flashers in Vancouver, Washington. These are a couple of older Union Switch and Signal flashers equiped with a "stop" light that lights up when the sighnals are activated. You'll find these on 8th St. on the BNSF tracks, former SP&S line.

Russel Myjak adds a few more shots of the flashers equipped with the illuminated "stop" signs.
Notice the cantilever signal to the right, the "stop" light actually replaces the lower
set of flashers. These are quite rare.
