Believe it or not, the Smithsonian Institution actually has a Magnetic Signal Company wigwag on display! This one stands inside "Railroad Hall" on the first floor of the museum in Washington D.C. It's an immaculate example of a Southern Pacific "style" wigwag. The plaque behind it simply reads "highway crossing signal 1917". No further information is given on where it originally served. Notice the wire that is holding the banner in a "swinging" position. I'm guessing that this one is not operational. It is said that this wigwag came from Pleasanton, Ca.
