1938 Tube Stock

By far the biggest part of the collection of photos that Chris Adams passed to were of 1938 Tube Stock units.  Many are of the unit that now makes up the 'running' example kept at the Museum Depot at Acton (and of which you find other pictures on this site) and many of these were taken in Cockfosters Depot following the arrival of the unit and prior to its restoration there.

There are also some of the same unit taken in both Ealing Common Depot and the Museum Depot following its restoration.

Finally, there are some of the 1938 Tube Stock unit which is displayed at London's Transport museum at Covent Garden.

Choosing which to include has been a difficult task - there are many more in the collection that I've not posted, as I think this selection shows the best examples!
