EPSOM & EWELL MODEL RAILWAY CLUB

HORTON REGIS

Horton Regis

This 7mm finescale layout is a long term project being undertaken by a small group of modellers within the Club

An extensive collection of London & South Western Railway (LSWR) locomotives and rolling stock, of Adams and Drummond origin, owned by members of the group, means the period being modelled is set in the 1900s. The theoretical location for Horton Regis is somewhere on the east Dorset coast. Excursion stock from the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway, Midland Railway and the London & North Western Railway is also run.

The layout is operated with full local services, as well as direct trains from London and an excursion from the Midlands and the North. There are also regular milk and parcels trains in addition to a reasonably sized goods yard to deal with the town's freight requirements.

The layout's scenic and structural work has now been completed. The remaining efforts are being concentrated on completing the remaining signals to full operation, with cosmetic signal and point rodding.
