Future Events

BEGINNERS’ CLINIC

The EMMRA will host a Beginners’ Skills Clinic of Model Railroading.

Clinics included are:

·               Layout Planning

·               Benchwork

·               Track Laying

·               Wiring

·               Scenery Basics

·               Equipment Maintenance

·               Purchasing Guide

·               Digital Command Control (DCC) for Beginners

Each clinic is conducted in a classroom setting with a clinician presenting the course material in varying formats, i.e. overhead projector, displays, instructional handouts, and a question and answer period at the end of each clinic.  The techniques that you learn will give you the confidence to be able to tackle many projects on your own layout.  Children 12 & over are eligible to participate. An adult must accompany children under 18.  There is limited seating available and a lunch will be provided.
