Banks Peninsula is a hilly area of land to the west of Christchurch.
It had only one railway of any note, the line to Little River, and a number
of bush tramways. These galleries show what is known of these lines.
In the mid 2000s the remains of the closed Little River Branch are
being developed as a rail trail similar to those in other parts of NZ.
