In 1961, through at least 1972, there was a cafe just to the right of this bridge.

I took the above picture one rainy day from the verandah of that restaurant in 1961. Memory of that long ago precludes says it was within the range of the Jerry's Devils' Doors picture and does not appear there.  Tom Johnson has a picture which shows this area which includes the small ristorante.

Some anonymous donor has a picture of the ristorante that was taken in April of 2000.  When the rebuilding of the line reaches this point, it will be a great place to sit and drink a cold one and watch trains.
