- Elkhart Model Railroad 2006 Train Show Highlights
Borkholder
Dutch Village was the location for our second show. It was a
big success with over 100 tables of model railroad parafanalia for sale.
Thanks to all who came to look and buy. This year we were pleased to
welcome the Kalamazoo Model Railroad Club & Historical Society.
Their HO-Scale modular layout was a big hit with kids of all ages.
This
year we set up a kidzone that featured Thomas® trains
and a play table. Hundreds of kids enjoyed playing with all of the toy
trains. Special thanks to Miller's Country Store for providing the table
and toy trains.
Glenn
Zoller of Elkhart County's Merrit Learning Center was on hand with students
from his Transportation class. Students assembled a modular layout and
learned how all the stuff we use every day gets from one place to another.
Jim
Maurer brought his N-Scale modular layout for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks
to the many dealers who brought tables of items in almost every scale.
Thanks
to the manufacturers who provided door prizes for the show.
We
hope you'll join us for the next Elkhart Model Railroad Club Show.
