HO Scale (1:87)

Model railroading
is a great hobby
for a father to share with his children.
"Guests
Rick and Nick Breniser visiting the E&W
from Los Angeles California."
The HO
division of the E&W was expanded in 1958 as the building was remodeled
to accommodate the expanding railroad. Many members bought stock certificates
to help pay for the expansion project. Those same members helped in
the construction and expansion of the facility over the years. Much
of the configuration seen in old club photographs still exists today,
as does much of the hand laid track. In the early days of the club the
'pike' was controlled using a block system. Today the entire HO layout
is DCC controlled using the DIGI-TRAX system making for easier multi-train
operation and cornfield meets which, in many operating circles, are
strictly forbidden!
