P40 Locomotives 800 - 843

The P40 locomotives was the first class of Amtrak's original AMD-103 design, also known as Genesis, but over the years, different versions have come out, the P32, P40, and P42 classes. The P40s in the new millenium usually work on the east coast trains, and a certain batch is dedicated to the Auto Train route, while some venture to Chicago and out on the Sunset Limited.
