07.20.2005: Due to a propane plant explosion near Wishram, Washington, the area was evacuated and shut down, a few wild fires spread near the tracks, thus annulling the Empire Builder. Passengers were bussed to Spokane -- This trainset had 2 bad-ordered cars, the Sightseer Lounge and the Coach Baggage, which were taken by Hospital Train led by Dash-8BWH 507 this afternoon. The Builder was left in Portland with only a Sleeper, and a Coach.

07.27.2005: Over the next couple days, the Starlights were terminated in Oakland due to excessive lateness. Stub trains operated between Oakland and Los Angeles, this explains why some locomotives made quick returns.

07.31.2005: Due to 2 bad-ordered Cascades F59PHIs, the 467(?) and 468 went south to Los Angeles on the Coast Starlight of the 28th. P42 #137 and Dash-8 #507 have filled in for both of the F59s.
