1. Wooden replica steam engine on display in Jackson,CA.
2. Loomis station in Loomis,CA. (restored 2008 incl new plaque.)
3. Towle Bros caboose on display in Dutch Flat,CA.
4. Caboose ex CCT #21 just outside Diamond Springs,CA on Pleasant Valley Rd.
(note: This caboose has been moved to Virginia City,NV and restored as DRGW #20041 by owner.)

5. Between Clipper Gap,CA and Applegate,CA lies abandoned Tunnel #0.
6.& 7. A shopping center in Cameron Park,CA features this small tourist ride.
8. Ex bulkhead flat SP #508093 has become a bridge
over Canyon Creek near Dutch Flat,CA.

9. DRGW #01442 is privately owned and located at the corner of
King Rd. and Brennans Rd. in Loomis.
10. Shingle Springs,CA depot.
11.& 12. UPFE reefers #452115 and 452145 privately owned at a fruit
ranch along Hwy 193 between Lincoln,CA and Newcastle,CA.

13. Western Pacific caboose #456 on display in Cherokee,CA.
14. Penryn,CA fire insurance map showing depot site. Section house still
stands as a private residence. As a side note, my great great grandfather Azor Page owned the depot and
surrounding property at some point.

28.-30. Merced Gold Co's 1896 blt. Porter 0-4-0ST #1 Whistling Billy on display in Coulterville,CA.
31. South of San Andreas,CA, travelers on Hwy 49 pass under what appears to
be a railroad bridge built by the Calaveras Cement Co. Though built to railroad specifications as a proposed
extension of the SP Kentucky House Branch to a small quarry, this bridge never saw a train cross it, only trucks.

32.-34. Red Point Mine 0-4-0CA loco and mine cars at Foresthill,CA.
35. Just for fun, I also found this wooden caboose along the main drag
in Foresthill. Even the trucks, wheels and rail are wood.

36. The Southern Pacific section house still stands at Penryn,CA
as a private residence. (see map of Penryn above, photo #14)
37. Privately owned ex SP #119663 on Gold Hill Rd near Newcastle,CA.
38.-39. Privately owned boxcars at intersection of Mt Vernon & Baxter Grade
near Auburn,CA. #39 is ex Southern Pacific.

40. Plaque at site of Virginiatown near Newcastle,CA mentions California's first railroad.
41. This cut down boxcar turned bridge provides a private driveway
along Gold Hill Rd near Newcastle,CA.
42. Half of Triple 53' Long Runner TTEX #354069 has been turned into
a bridge along Latrobe Rd south of Latrobe,CA.
43. Mountain Ranch,CA is home to this reefer.

44. Ex CB&Q caboose, possibly #13765, at Brownsville,CA. (Ken Martin image)
45. WP grain boxcar #18226 along Lumpkin Rd near Feather Falls,CA.
46. Ex ATSF caboose on display next to Paradise,CA depot. Lettered for Butte Co RR.
47. Paradise,CA depot. Only a small portion of structure is original.

48.& 49. Plaques about the depot and railroad in Paradise.
50.& 51. South and north views along row/bike path in Paradise.

52.-55. These four views were taken at Ralphs on the Sierra RR.
Shown are the Sierra and Pickering right of ways along with a nice plaque about Ralphs Station.

56.-59. Near the West Side mill site along Tuolumne Rd are a plaque about
the West Side Lumber Co, some railcars and the West Side's crossing of Tuolumne Rd.

60. Ex Sierra water tankcar #607 provides a positive stop on a spur at Chinese,CA.
Tank is ex Sierra #106, nee Gulf Refining Co #168. Scrapped May 2008.
61.-63. Here's a couple views of the two story depot at Magalia,CA near Paradise.

64.-66. A religious retreat at Leoni Meadows,CA operates a live steamer.
Part of the Glover-Roderick RR operates on the original Diamond & Caldor right of way.
67. ATSF #999280 serves as a video arcade at Midpines,CA KOA.

68. ATSF #999625 sits next to a restaraunt in downtown Oakhurst,CA.
69. This live steamer is on display along Missouri Flat Rd, Diamond Springs,CA. (Olin Anderson image)
70. In a state of disuse, UP flat #215127 provides a crossing over a gully at Pilot Hill,CA.
71. UPFE reefer #45190 is privately owned in Shingle Springs,CA.

72. This cut down boxcar serves as a bridge across Miners Ravine along Auburn-Folsom Rd near Eden Roc Rd.
73. Another ex railroad car bridges Miners Ravine across from Twin Rocks Rd and Auburn-Folsom Rd in Granite Bay.
74.-75. These two ex railroad cars serve as bridges across Greenwood Creek in Greenwood,CA.

76.-79. These images are all ex railroad cars used as bridges over Dry Creek along Green Valley Rd.
near Rescue,CA. They are all within a mile from first to last. Image 76 is ex Southern Pacific #96106. Image 77. is actually two cars
side by side. Image 78 is ex "Triple 28" TTX #931068.

80. This railcar bridge over Tennessee Creek in Rescue,CA is near the intersection of Green Valley Rd and
Lotus Rd, just downstream from previous four images.
81. Ex WP boxcar #20210 sits behind the fire station in Brownsville,CA.
82. Located at a lumber yard in El Dorado,CA, D & RG #3427 is part of the collection at the El Dorado Co Museum in Placerville.
