Welcome to the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the NRHS
Welcome. The Fort Lauderdale chapter
of the NRHS meets monthly. At our meetings we discuss railroads,
trains, steam, trolleys, and show a video. In addition to the meetings,
occasionally we go on field trips, some nearby and some long distance.
Past field trips were to see and ride the New York subway (Nostalgia
days), trolleys in Tampa, FL, the Gold Coast museum in Dade County,
a train ride to Kissimmee, FL, and a rail trip to the North Carolina
transportation museum in Spencer, NC.
Many of our members are serious model train collectors. From time
to time they discuss and show their prize models.
Other members ride Amtrak.
