E
Sent to CAD for upgrades in August 2007, then moved to TMS in Altoona, PA in August 2008. According to Railpower, this unit will be rebuilt by TMS into an RP20BD genset.
F
Originally, the 2403 was indicated to be the core for NITX 1706, while RPRX 2405 would become NITX 1707. In late April 2009, an unpainted NITX unit was spotted coupled to the painted NITX 1706. The unpainted unit had the RPRX 2403's cab markings still on the side of the cab. It is presumed from this evidence that the cores were reversed, and the 2403 became the 1707, while the 2405 became the 1706.
