The (former) Lehigh Valley Alcos of Buffalo

While researching my "Surviving Lehigh Valley Locomotives" webpages,
I discovered that 2 former LVRR Locomotives can be found south of Buffalo, NY.
and since I live only one hour from Buffalo, (in Rochester) I had to drive out and look for them!

The 2 units are both Alco S2 switchers.
LVRR 151 - now Buffalo Southern 107
LVRR 165 - now Buffalo Southern 105

The 2 units were sold to the South Buffalo Railroad in 1965.
Then bought by the Buffalo Southern in (?)
They have been in Buffalo nearly 40 years after leaving the LV!

(please note "Buffalo Southern Railroad" and "South Buffalo Railroad" are 2 different railroads!)

151

Unfortunately BS107/ LV151 is not in operating condition, She apparently has a cracked block..
I dont know what the B.S's plans for her are..
(even if she isnt operating, she would still make a great static display at a museum somewhere!)
