Circuit 6 - Gyrating Warning Lights

ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE

Using this circuit one can obtain the voltage required for a particular circuit. A higher voltage has to be input into the regulator in order to have this accomplished.

The output voltage can be calculated via the above equation. It must be noted that when powering a circuit from this regulator - to MAKE SURE that the resistor RB is secured to the regulator and the ground (or common). Without this, RB is infinite and you end up with the regulator's voltage input hitting the circuit.
