The Crescent Model Railroaders returned to Purcellville to take part in the town's annual Christmas celebration.  The group met for an early breakfast before setup.  This year we were located in a storefront on Main Street.  Crescent members Jim and Jo Anne S., Craig and Drew S., Paul J., Lee F., Ted R., and Tony H. (and Heidi) were in attendance.  Local residents Don B. and Mike F. gave us a hand with the setup.

There were a number of activities around the town scheduled for this event.  Our display was co-located with a craft area where children could make ornaments for the town Christmas tree.  As a result we had a steady stream of families visiting throughout the day.

The layout was framed on two sides by windows.  The natural lighting made for some nice effects.  The setting was reminiscent of times when many stores had train displays at Christmas time.

This was the debut of a carnival scene put together by Lee F., Ian R., and Ted R.  More additions are planned but even in its basic configuration it proved popular with the visitors.
