World's Greatest Hobby on Tour February 11 & 12, 2006 Chantilly, Virginia |

The Crescent Model Railroaders had the opportunity to participate in the
World's Greatest Hobby on Tour show held in Chantilly, VA in February
2006. Special layout features included John Z.'s turntable and the
carnival first debuted in December 2005. Chris Y. joined us for
the for the event and began work on a pair of modules shortly after the
event; we look forward to Chris's participation in future displays. The event, unlike traditional train shows, was geared toward beginners and families. Attendance was hampered by some exceptionally (for the DC metro area) bad weather. Despite the weather over 15,000 were in attendance on Saturday alone. |
