Brooks-Scanlon Lumber Company used
at least six McGiffert loaders in Bend. Here is an early shot of one of them in service in the early years of
B-S operations. Note the horse drawn high wheels that were used to skid logs to the landing. Photo is from the Mark

equipment with a gas shovel and locomotive crane bodies in the process.
