The #310 in its first Weyerhaeuser assignment, passing through Headquarters, Washington, with a log train bound for the giant plants in Longview. Coupled behind it is Weyerhaeuser GP35 #308, another Morrison-Knudsen rebuild for Weyerhaeuser, but from a wreck damaged former Southern Pacific unit. Weyerhaeuser concluded the pair were simply too much locomotive for the Longview railroad and shipped the #310 to Klamath. C.G. Heimerdinger Jr. photo, Jeff Moore collection. |
