Wallowa Union Railroad Work Train of 1 November 2020 |

The deteriorating conditions on several timber trestles have limited Wallowa-Union Railroad's operations to the Elgin to Minam railroad for many years. In the fall of
2020 the railroad lauched a work project to repair two of the trestles over Water Canyon and Howard Creek. In support of those efforts the railroad ran a work train
consisting of the #2085 and a flatcar to deliver bridge timbers to the project areas. The work will allow Wallowa-Union to resume passenger excursions to Wallowa and
Enterprise and to store freight cars on isolated parts of the line over the winter. Luke Noltensmeyer was on hand to document the event, and he sent along the following
