When we heard that the NMRA Niagara Frontier Region would meet in Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2014, we offered to hold an operating session as part of the activities.

A few months later, Doors Open Hamilton asked if we could open the layout as part of their annual event... the same weekend. "Sure", we said. "How many people will come to this old school?" About 550, as it turns out! And at least half came through our train museum.

So here you have our craziest event: Doors Open, visiting model railroaders from Western New York, Michigan, and across Southern Ontario (Windsor to Ottawa at least), and an operating session with out-of-town guests... all at the same time.
