Lone Star Aquarium Car

This limited edition, custom decorated car is the inaugural issue of the HTOS club car series celebrating our 10th year of running trains. The car is an uncatalogned Lionel aquarium car with No. 8999 reporting mark. These aquariums on wheels are painted in the Texas state flag motif of red, white and blue, and feature the club's logo in the center.

Aquarium car production began in August 1999, and ended in April 2000. There were two variations: The Trout and the Mermaid Aquarium Car. About 15-20% of the production was the Mermaid version. When we were no longer able to procure mermaid cars, we switched to the trout version.
