Friday September 13, 1963 CNR 6167 On Display At Leaside Friday September 13, 1964 was a very busy day for CNR 6167. Before departing on a 700 mile, three-day tour of the province that evening, 6167 was put on display under steam at Leaside. It seems this was CN's way of celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the incorporation of the town of Leaside (1913-1963). Dave Spiegelman tells me that she ran light to Leaside, was only there for 4 hours, and was on her way back to Spadina before the railfan community became aware of the event. Don McQueen mentions in his own notes that the locomotive sported a banner that read "CN Congratulations-Town of Leaside-50 Yrs of Progress-1913-1963".

Jim Parker also caught 6167 at Leaside that day. I thought it was kind of funny that he also managed to get photos of Ross Lucas as well.
