Sunday September 22, 1963 CNR 6167 Excursion

     On Sunday September 22, 1963, CNR 6167 pulled the second of two excursions sponsored by the Michigan Railroad Club that weekend, this time running from Windsor to St. Thomas and return. The train made a service stop in Chatham, and an Article on the St. Thomas Times-Journal's website mentions that the train carried 703 passengers and stopped at the "CNR Wabash Terminal" in St. Thomas for two hours.   September 21, 22: Canadian National 4-8-4 No. 6167 will haul two steam-powered excursions from Windsor, Ont., via CN. All-day Saturday trip goes to London, Paris, Stratford, London and return. Old 6167 paid a visit in 1963

     "Old 6167," the Canadian National Railway's steam locomotive chugged into view at the CNR Wabash terminal, St. Thomas. The engine, one of the few still in operating condition, hauled a train carrying 703 passengers, members and guests of the Michigan Railroad Club and stayed for two hours on its way to Windsor.

Canadian National 4-8-4 6167 is accelerating the 12 car Michigan Railroad Club special eastbound out of Chatham, Ont. after a service stop. The train is crossing the McGregor Creek bridge at about 1:30 P.M. The photographer is at the Sass Side Road crossing.
