Restoration Journal - October 2011 October Updates Photos by Grant Kingsland and Dave Spiegelman Finally after what has seemed like years, work began on applying CNR 6167's new boiler jacket at the beginning of October 2011. Greystone Industrial Services of Whitby is the contractor, and as per our specifications they are fitting cedar strips around the boiler in order to support the new jacket. Various oil steam and air lines that run under the jacket have been replaced, however the large steam pipes to the air and water pumps will not be replaced. The following series of photos illustrate progress on the jacket throughout the month.
