Notes-
BdeC- Bosques de Chihuahua
ChP- Chihuahua Pacific
All H-16-44s built with C-Liner trucks unless otherwise noted.
2A- 48 and 49 replacements for 23 and 28, wrecked 4/57.
2B- built by Canadian Locomotive Co. for F-M
H-15-44/H-16-44 Phases:

Phase Ia- the "Loewy" carbody. Sloped hood ends and cab sides, half- circle cab windows, "sculpted" headlight mounting. Phase Ia2 has notches in the bottom of the side sill to clear the brake cylinders on C-Liner trucks.
Phase Ib- the cab sides are vertical, the half-circle windows disappear, and the entire side sill is a bit thinner to clear the C-Liner trucks.

Phase Ic- the three large hood louver sets are replaced with smaller louver sets on the hood doors.

Phase II- the "spartan" carbody. The hood ends are vertical, the battery boxes get louvers.

Phase IIIa- the "Train Master" carbody, with the older radiator shutters. IIIa1 has the rectangular numberboards held in with clips, IIIa2 has oval gasketed numberboards.
Phase IIIb- the newer radiator shutters, and one-height walkways all around.
