Click on any photo to enlarge it. This layout was featured in the November/December 2003 Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette. The layout is 11" X 12 1/2" (28cm X 32cm). The train is an old AHM HOn30" mine train which was purchased used. I found the locomotive ran very poorly so I removed the plastic shell and put it on a Bachmann N-scale 0-4-0T chassis. The couplers were not flexible enough to allow the train to go around the railroad's 5" (13cm) curves and were replaced with little loops and hooks made from brass wire.
