4th, 5th and 6th of 2001.....

On the second day, we were treated to the double heading
of Shay #11 and #5
Both locomotives pulling the freight train up the steepest
part of the switchback

A work consist parked up in Whittaker
On the way up to Bald Mountain, we needed to stop to
take on water. Both locomotives send a 6 inch diameter hose into
these collecting tanks and use their injectors to suck up the
water.
