NW2 Certification Pictures

Another of the two engines I was certified on was the NW2. This engine, a yard switcher, has better handling then the GP9 and much better visibility, however, less weight and power. The controls were very smooth and precise, you were able to achieve a very slow speed easily. The engine, although lighter then the GP9, was still slow to start which gave you the sense of the raw power surrounding you. Surprisingly, although the engines seem to make a lot of noise from the outside, they are VERY quiet from the inside! I liked this engine a little better then the GP9 for the simple reason that it was a lot cooler with the cross breeze and the visibility was much better.
