This car was built as Lot 6669, Plan 4009, 6 section, 6 roomette, 4 bedroom Sleeper in June, 1942. This series of 26 cars were the only smooth sided lightweight cars to run on the ATSF.
This car is owned by the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Railway Historical Society in Houston. A sister, Pleasant Valley is now named Chief Illini II and is at the Monticello and Sangamon Valley Museum in Monticello, Illinois.
