ATSF photo, from Quarter Century, 1513

ATSF drawing

ATSF photo 1514.

This car is based on the ATSF Café/ Observation 1513-1514, built by Pullman in 1930. The body is very good. From the photo above, notice the window which was blocked out by the mid 50s. The Santa Fe sill can be improved and the underbody needs work. The roof for this model has the air conditioning ducts, so an upgrade of the roof hatches and correct underbody a/c units are needed. The duct itself is not totally correct.

These cars were painted in the coach green until the late 40s. Around 1949 they were painted into the 2 tone gray scheme.

These cars continued in service until 1956 on Junta-Denver runs, No. 223 (102) & No. 224 (101).
