Evening operating Session
The K&I Model R.R. Club holds operating sessions at 7:00 pm on the Third Wednesday of every month in their clubroom in the old fire house in
Buckner, KY.
All members of K&I and the Div 8 are welcome to attend and participate in the sessions.
When attending a session, please bring a DCC equipped locomotive and Caboose both equipped with Kaydee couplers (all our sessions operate with cabooses).
Also, if you have a Digitrax control, please bring that too. Although there are no restrictions as to what type locomotive to bring (steam or diesel) we
have found that short four axle diesel road locomotives operate more reliable on our layout. Large locomotives have trouble getting in to some of the tight sidings.
If you do not have a DCC Locomotive or Digitrax controller, do not let that deter you from attending.
The club has several dcc engines and controllers for use, and someone is sure to have extras and will gladly let
you participate. In other words, don’t plan on coming just to watch. You WILL be put to work.
