Steam-up/Blow-down

Steam-up and Blow-down are special days. As a Northeast US club we are subject to the change of seasons. We work on the track and grounds year-round but most train operation is limited to warmer weather months.

At the beginning of the season, the club hosts a Steam-up Day. It provides the membership with a day to get reacquainted and bring their equipment out for an early-season run. Likewise, in the fall,  we celebrate the close of another season with a Blow-down Day.

These days are reserved for members and their guests. While no rides are provided for the public, these days provide a relaxing time for those interested in the hobby and possible membership to visit, watch the trains and chat with our members.

Steam-up in 2010 will take place on May 2.

Blow-down will take place on November 7

This year, we are adding 5 Club & Friends Steaming Days.  Like our Steam-up and Blow-down, no rides are provided for the public, these days provide a relaxing time for those interested in the hobby and possible membership to visit, watch the trains and chat with our members.  These days are:
