April 3, 2004, 11:57 AM: Iowa, Chicago & Eastern 126
Still in the paint of its second previous owner Soo Line, 126 has backed out of the engine facility at the west end of Nahant Yard and is now accelerating out from under I-280 and up the main, leaving a large cloud of smoke in its wake.

Clip length: :18 (364KB) Play
12:06 PM: IC&E 120
Another ex-Soo Geep follows the example of its sister, acccompanied by a former Union Pacific SD40-2 fully painted in IC&E colors.

Clip length: :39 (763KB) Play
12:55 PM: IC&E 4202 South
A southbound IC&E local meets the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Barstow switcher at Bettendorf. BNSF 2336 is exercising trackage rights on the IC&E.

Clip length: :34 (661KB) Play
2:22 PM: BNSF 2336 returns
Having delivered its cars, the Barstow switcher is making its way back to that town. After crossing the Crescent Bridge over the Mississippi River, it has come through downtown Rock Island on track owned by BNSF but dispatched by Iowa Interstate. Here, it will enter IAIS trackage to run to Moline, where it will regain home rails.

Clip length: :17 (340KB) Play
3:00 PM: IAIS 602 West
602 leads three other units, one painted in a simple Operation Lifesaver scheme, on a westbound freight out of the Rock Island yard toward Government Bridge, the bi-level (rail and road) draw span over the Mississippi.

Clip length: 1:14 (1.37MB) Play
April 4, 2004, 2:09 PM: IAIS westbound
An IAIS westbound, having just crossed Government Bridge, makes its way through Davenport with a vintage car in its train.

Clip length: :13 (275KB) Play
2:25 PM: IC&E 6456 North
Three IC&E SD40-2s, one still in the blue attire of the previous owner of this railroad, I&M Rail Link, head a northbound train past Davenport Union Station.

Clip length: :22 (444KB) Play
3:42 PM: IAIS eastbound
An IAIS eastbound, with probably the same Operation Lifesaver unit in its consist, comes off the approach span to Government Bridge and into Rock Island Yard.

Clip length: :26 (509KB) Play
5:00 PM: IC&E southbound
An IC&E train, with what could be the same 3 SD40-2s we saw earlier, passes Davenport Union Station headed for Nahant Yard.

Clip length: :22 (433KB) Play
