Photo 1 - Here's where a train
display begins -- with a bulging van stuffed full of
trains. The use of this van is donated to the club by a
generous member.
Photo 2 - It's always amazing
that they can keep track of what looks like a bizillion
different parts and pieces; rail joiners, screws, hookup
wires, signs, etc etc etc. It's even more amazing that
they can get it all assembled and running in one
morning.
Photo 3 - Looking at the front of
the layout. The red hopper car in the upper right just in
front of the camera, is 1/12 scale. On the floor are 2
largescale loops, G gauge (LGB size, nominally 1/24
scale).
Photo 4 - Looking at the front of
the layout, a little closer. The 2 tracks just above the
blue "loose Ties" sign are O gauge (Lionel size, 1/48
scale). The 2 tracks on the next level up -- crossing the
Santa Fe bridge -- are 2 S gauge tracks (American Flyer
size, 1/64 scale)
Photo 5 - Looking at the front of
the layout, a little closer. . The layout in the center
is HO gauge (1/87 scale), with 2 mainlines and numerous
sidings. On the upper right size of the HO mountain, you
may notice a blue streak -- this is the Z gauge
train.
Photo 6 - Looking at the left
side. On the floor at left, you can see the "Automatic
Yard", which controls 3 trains running on the outside
track.
Photo 7 - A closer view of the
left side.
Photo 8 - Looking at the left
side, further back. On the left you can see the new O
gauge yard addition, just added at this Dec 2006 show. In
the upper right, you can see the N gauge layout, which
has 2 mainlines.
Photo 9 - Looking at the same
yard addition on the left side, from the rear.
Photo 10 - Looking at the right
side of the layout from the front.
