Loose Ties Website

A. Introduction . . (10/26/99)

  1. Location -- www.track2.com/loose
  2. Cost -- No cost -- space & labor are donated

    B. Advantages To Website

  3. Website is club's 24 hour brochure.
  4. People can access this from anywhere in the world, anytime, to get information about the club.

    C. What Should Be On It ?

  5. Anything the club wants people to know about.
  6. Currently -- brochure & copies of newspaper articles.
  7. Possible future --Pictures, posters, contact phone numbers, goals & objectives.

    D. Address Needs Publicized

  8. Website address should become part of the club's address, along with street address and phone number.
  9. Bottom of every newsletter, in small print,
    "Website: www.track2.com/loose".
  10. Same thing on bottom of any flyers we print.
  11. As an example, every UPS truck has on it's side "www.ups.com", and every diet coke has it's side "www.dietcoke.com".

    E. Directory Name

  12. If desired, the directory name could be something other than 'loose', if you don't like that for any reason. I generally try to use complete words for easy typing and easy recognition, so I used 'loose'.
  13. The address could also be changed to any of the following:
  14. The only restriction is that I cannot use a directory name that is already in use.

    F. Who Can Modify Website

  15. Right now I am the only person who can modify the website. In the future, it could be moved to www.trainweb org/loose, where other people could modify it.
  16. For an example of a site already moved, see www.track2.com/wnb .
