Equipment of the Crooked Creek Railroad
Most of the equipment on the Crooked Creek Railroad is scratchbuilt or heavily modified by club members.
There are five diesel units on the Crooked Creek Railroad. One unit is an ex-U.S. Army switch engine, used on the work train.
There are three steam engines on the road, which are stored at either Crosley Yard or Waverly Yard.
Much of the equipment is used for moving coal or mining equipment, similar to the equipment parked at Minor #2.
The other equipment is used to move lumber to the paper and coal lines on the line.
Pictured here are one of the Crooked Creek's cabooses, as well as some of the passenger cars used.
Seen here coupled to these diesel engines are some vintage boxcars used by the railroad to move general freight around the railroad.
