The Metro East Model Railroad Club Layout

The Metro East Model Railroad Club's HO scale layout is located in Glen Carbon, IL. The layout is 18'6" wide by 27'6" long and has roughly 1000' of track on two levels. It features a freight yard, passenger yard, and a staging yard. The upper level depicts the Glen Carbon area in the 1940's which will cover approximately 25% of the layout. This area is currently under construction. The remainder of the layout features the club's fictitious Glen Carbon Central Railroad. The Metro East Model Railroad Club (MEMRC) hold's regular business meetings in the Glen Carbon Library on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. In addition, work sessions are held at 6:30 p.m. each week on Thursdays. Visitors are more than welcome to stop by at any of these times as well as at one of our amazing open houses, with dates and information listed here.
