"A" Class
The "A" Class locomotive was a rebuild of the "B" Class locomotive performed in the mid 80's. Low mileage locomotives where given slight body modifications and a new coat of paint from "VR" 'blue and yellow' livery to "V/Line" 'tangerine' livery. The motors where upgraded with turbochargers increasing the power from 1630hp to 2510hp.

This locomotive has plaques attached dedicating its rebuild
to the men and women who served the railways of Victoria.

'red, white and yellow' 'Mark III' livery.

Last sighted 23rd November 2012 Up Freight trailing G529, leading X49, a container/

"B" Class

The "B" Class locomotive was built by Clyde Engineering in the 50's. The original power of the unit was 1630hp. These locomotives where also repainted in the mid 80's from "VR" 'blue and yellow' livery to "V/Line" 'tangerine' livery.

B60 has been rebuilt as an 'A' class locomotive.

"SSR" livery. It is owned by CFCL Australia
and leased by Southern Shorthaul Railroad.

storage in Steamrail's Newport workshops.

B64 in storage in the Ballarat East railyards.
Recently moved possibly due to vandalism, it
sits on transfer bogies, the basic shell & engine
left to rust away. It is owned by Steamrail Victoria.

Formally owned by West Coast Rail, it still features
West Coast Rail's 'blue, white and yellow' livery.

Seymour Railway Heritage Centre and leased to El Zorro Transport Solutions.
Last sighted 3rd May 2012 Down Light Engine, passing through Ballarat East.

B75 still in original "VR" 'blue and yellow' livery, sits in storage on transfer
bogies at Seymour yard turntable sidings. This locomotive is privately
owned and once restored will be run on the Yarra Valley Tourist Railway.
Last sighted 22nd June 2007 stored, Seymour yard turntable sidings.

B76

B76 now features "CFCLA's" 'blue, silver and yellow' livery.
It is owned by CFCL Australia and leased to various operators.
Last sighted 16th December 2009 Down Freight trailing G511,
leading HL203 and 52 container/platforms leaving Gheringhap loop.

Formally owned by West Coast Rail, it still features
West Coast Rail's 'Murraylander' livery.

"C" Class

The "C" Class locomotive, road numbers 501 - 510, were built by Clyde Engineering in the mid 70's. The power of the unit was 3340hp. These locomotives where also repainted in the mid 80's from "VR" 'blue and yellow' livery to "V/Line" 'tangerine' livery. These locomotives where considered to be the pride of the Victorian fleet and are a favorite with many a railfan. These locomotives are now owned and operated by various companies.

C501 now features "VR" 'blue and yellow' livery. It has been rebuilt and
painted and is owned by Seymour Railway Heritage Centre and currently
leased to El Zorro Transport Solutions. Last sighted 7th December 2012 Up
Freight leading S302, L277 and 41 grain hoppers passing through Maroona.
