Gates Mills, Ohio - Cleveland & Eastern Bridge

The quiet community of Gates Mills, nestled in the Chagrin River valley, was once a bustling center of activity on the Cleveland & Eastern. The line's car shops and power house were located on the east bank of the river (to the right in this photo). All that remains today is the line's bridge across the Chagrin River. Contructed over a century ago, it is still used today by pedestrians and stands as a reminder of days gone by.
