Welcome to the Mount Savage Valley Railroad this is a site to show how I built my N-Scale layout of the Western Maryland. I have been a fan of the Western Maryland for 10 years, but a fan of model railroading for 20 years. I started with HO-Scale and switched to N-Scale 5 years later. I prefer the small layout you can build with a lot of track. I am building a layout 3.5 feet by 13 feet using the track design from the January 2000 Model railroader of the Appalachian Central by Lionel Strang with some changes.
