This caboose was in railroad service until the early 1970s. It was acquired by Gerald Brookins in 1972 for his Trolleyville U.S.A. Museum . This caboose was used in frequent passenger operations at Trolleyville and was a perennial crowd pleaser. In the breakup of the Trolleyville collection the car was purchased by Northern Ohio Railway Museum in 2009.
This caboose is complete as it came out of railroad service. Has cupola with seats, three bunks, and kitchen facilities with two sinks and an ice box. Brake system is complete and was operational when last operated in 2002. Car has friction bearing trucks with good wheels. Car would be a good fit for operation in a museum or tourist railway setting.
Car will need to be trucked from its current location. Car is located on museum property in Medina County, Ohio . Very close to junction of Interstate Highways 71 and 76.
